Vintage Porcelain Footed Cachepot Planter Hand Painted Florals Insects Gold Trim

This porcelain cachepot features beautiful hand painted florals on both sides.  The floral groups are different.  One side includes a rose, sunflower, morning glory, and a butterfly.  The other has daffodils, iris, chrysanthemum and a ladybug!

The trompe-l'oeil handles are accented with metallic gold.  There is a vining metallic gold border on the top of the pot.  The pot has three ball feet.

As it is not marked by the maker, I do not know the origin of this piece.  I have seen other cachepots of this form attributed to German makers, but I cannot verify that for this pot.  The base is marked with a painted "CMD 1981."  That may be the artist’s initials and the year.

The cachepot measures about 6.25" tall with a mouth diameter of 6".

The cachepot is in wonderful condition. I see no chips or cracks.  It is clean and beautiful!
