Dansk's Earthenware and Terra Cotta products will provide good durability when used with reasonable care. Please follow the following guidelines carefully.

These products can be used in a dishwasher, but handwashing is recommended to avoid chipping. In either case, they must be thoroughly dried overnight before using in a microware or oven. These products are safe for microwave cooking and warming foods in a conventional oven (if heated slowly). Cooking or broiling in a conventional oven, as well as use on a range top is not recommended. Due to iron in the body, Terra Cotta items will conduct heat faster than other materials in a microware. Always use potholders when handling these items.
