Stapelia gigantea – Starfish / Carrion Cactus Succulent Plant

Stapelia gigantea, commonly known as Starfish Flower or Carrion Cactus, is a fascinating succulent prized for its huge, dramatic blooms that resemble a fuzzy starfish. The striking flowers can reach 10–14 inches across and emit a carrion-like scent that attracts pollinators in nature — making it one of the most unusual flowering succulents you can grow!

This plant forms clumps of upright, cactus-like stems but is not a true cactus. It is a drought-tolerant succulent native to southern Africa and very easy to grow in warm climates.

I sell mostly tropical and subtropical plants-if it is below freezing on the way to your destination, please wait to order. I do sometimes have heat packs in stock, so reach out to me if you need one, otherwise you will be ordering at your own risk if it will be shipped through freezing temperatures.
