Antique WMF Art Nouveau Vase "Mermaid and Child", Silver-Plated Metal

Description: This is an elegant antique vase produced by the renowned German manufacturer WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik). This piece is a classic example of the Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) period, dating back to the early 20th century.

The vase features intricate figural handles in the form of a mermaid and a small child peering over the rim. The body is beautifully embossed with aquatic motifs, including bullrushes (cattails), water lilies, and fish. The base bears the authentic maker's mark: as WMFB I/O.
