Vintage 1908 Authors Press Hardbound book, Volume XIII which includes Edgar Allan Poe works, The Fall of the House of Usher and The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym. Of particular interest are the two Poe Illustrative Plates. A Hand-Colored Photogravure of a scene from The Fall of the House of Usher from a painting by S. de Ivanowski, the other, the last photograph Poe sat for known as the Pratt Daguerreotype, a photogravure on mounted India Proof. These two plates are printed on uniquely high quality papers and are absolutely stunning and will truly be appreciated by any serious Poe Fan or Collector. Condition is excellent except for a small one inch crack in the foot of the spine where the Leather has cracked. A wonderful Poe find!

Condition Note: The brown leather boards are clean and vibrant. There is a single one-inch age-related crack at the very foot of the spine edge due to the natural drying of the leather over time, but the binding remains tight, square, and structurally sound.
