Beauty and the Beast is a 1991 American animated musical romantic fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The Bilston and Batterseas story begins in 1968, when the twentieth-century revival of English enamelling began in Bilston, with the forming of Copper Enamels (Bilston) Ltd., by the Marshall family. Two years later, the name was changed to Bilston & Battersea Enamels and an innovative venture with a London-based antiques dealer, designing boxes based on those made in Georgian times, promptly followed. The name of Bilston & Battersea was soon established as a manufacturer of prestigious, luxury, enamel items collected around the world.
In 2003 Enesco Limited became the proud owners of Bilston & Battersea Enamels, ushering in an exciting new era. Today the brand offers not only traditional, luxury enamels in the style of their highly-prized Georgian predecessors, but also new ventures such as bangles and cufflinks in an array of modern styles and patterns, bringing this much-loved traditional craft up to date.
