A rare and seriously capable full-size American truck that’s been fully rebuilt over the past year, with over £25,000 spent on mechanical works (receipts to prove). Now in excellent condition throughout and ready to be used and enjoyed.
I’ve owned and driven this truck all over Europe, including trips to Norway, and it’s never let me down. Only selling as I’m moving on to something newer.
The truck has been fully rebuilt and drives spot on overall.
Under load (for example when accelerating hard onto a motorway slip road), the gear change can feel slightly heavier than normal. It’s one of those things that’s had me scratching my head, as both the gearbox and transfer box have been rebuilt, yet it still does it slightly.
That said, it doesn’t affect normal driving at all—I use it daily, including school runs, and it drives perfectly. In everyday use, you genuinely wouldn’t notice it, and it’s only apparent under heavier acceleration.
It’s running on 35” tyres, which can naturally make the drivetrain feel slightly different under load compared to standard.
The front prop has been removed due to a rumble at speeds above 50mph when fitted. This is likely due to the 6" lift and would benefit from a double cardan joint to correct the angle.
Currently running in 2WD, it drives perfectly with no vibration or issues at all.
It has just passed its MOT with flying colours, reflecting the overall condition of the vehicle.
