Species: Ankylosaurus magniventris or Denversaurus schlessmani?

Formation: Lance Formation

Location: Weston County, Wyoming

Age: 69-66 mya, Cretaceous

This is an authentic dinosaur bone from the Lance Formation of Wyoming. There is no restoration on this specimen, but there may be a few repaired breaks (truthfully I forgot because I prepped it a while ago ha ha). This specimen has been coated with Paraloid B-72 for added stability.

I’m not 100% sure what exactly this bone is, but my best guess based on shape and presence of an articulation facet on the distal end is that it is a quadrate. This bone has rugose texture like a ceratopsian or ankylosaur bone would, but the shape is wrong for a ceratopsian quadrate, so that leaves ankylosaur. It was tough to find good images of an ankylosaur quadrate, but from what I could see the shape is very similar.
