Item Description: Antique miniature parasol, measuring approximately 14 to 20 inches in length. Given its small scale, this was likely originally designed as a carriage parasol, a child's accessory, or a prop for a large antique doll. It features a beautifully and intricately carved wooden handle with leaf/floral motifs.

Condition Details: Please note that this item is being sold AS-IS for parts, repair, or restoration. The original brown silk canopy has completely failed and is heavily shredded and actively flaking due to age and dry rot (commonly known as "shattered silk"). The metal ribs and internal mechanisms are intact but show age-appropriate oxidation and wear.

The carved wooden shaft and handle are the true highlight of this piece, remaining solid and highly detailed. This is an excellent salvage piece for an antique doll collector or restorer looking to recover a period-correct frame for a large bisque doll or carriage display. Please review all photos carefully to assess the exact condition of the fabric and wood before purchasing.
