Vintage industrial lantern marked 9-S-5293-L, Type J-I-S.

Heavy steel construction with original finish and intact glass lens. This model is part of the Type J lantern family used in mid-20th century industrial, railroad, and maritime environments, including documented military applications. Appears consistent with Type J lanterns produced by companies such as Delta Electric, though no maker’s mark is visible.

Condition:
Shows age, surface rust, and wear consistent with long-term use. Original internal components and battery compartment present with corrosion from old cells. Untested and sold as-is. See photos.
