From the mid-1960s this is an AM transistor radio given away as a promotional item for the Miami Florida radio station 560 WQAM “Tiger Radio”. This radio station was a pop music station which heavily promoted the Beatles during their 1964 Miami visit. The radio looks to be never used and is in working condition. Of course don’t expect to hear hi fidelity sound out of it! The radio was made in Hong Kong and contains Japanese components. It includes the original box along with the earphone. There is one small chipped area on the bottom of the plastic case as shown in my photo. The Beatles promo flyer shown here is only for the description and not part of this auction.
