Roman Republic, AR Serrate Denarius, Q. Poblicius Q.f., 80 BC, Cr 380/1, RCV 308


An attractive example of this Republican silver denarius struck at Rome in 80 BC. Worn but well detailed. Weight 3.85g. Diameter 18mm.


O: Draped bust of Roma, 2 feathers on helmet. 'ROMA' behind, letter above.

R: Hercules strangling the Nemean lion, club at this feet, bow case to left. 'C. POBLICIVS Q.F.' on right.
