Postage Information
For INTERNATIONAL customers worried about tariffs: Customs forms are filled out with the Harmonisation Code "Vinyl Records: 8523.80.1000" and described as "Informational Materials: phonograph (vinyl) record” which should excuse any vinyl being subject to tariffs. Although I cannot accept liability if customs makes a mistake, the vast majority of my sales are international and everyone has been very happy with no complaints! (see my feedback)
All vinyl is shipped securely and may be double boxed where necessary. I will do all in my power to make sure it ships fast and gets to you securely. As a collector I relate to other collectors and expect the same top tier service from myself as I do other sellers!
Good luck!
Cleaning: All vinyl sold by me is carefully cared for and cleaned with one of the most effective processes in the field. Manually cleaned with a Disco Stat + Loricraft combination with a formulated distilled water and alcohol mixture, and a tergikleen + glycol surfactant. The process is then finished off with an Ultrasonic Degritter cleaning to blast out and rinse any other impurities that may still remain. This is one of the key factors into why the vinyl I sell on sounds so clean and lacks the surface noise you may get from a seller who doesn't go to the same lengths as this vinyl obssessed guy over here :)!
Grading Scale:
I do not tend to sell records/sleeves below VG but I have included G+ to cover the off chance where I may have something at that Grade. I do not sell anything below that.
G+: Record/Sleeve classified as in just above good condition. Likely to be a multitude of scratches on the record, and rough wear on the sleeve. However, there are some redeeming qualities present to allow it to be better than Poor e.g. still plays throughout, most marks are not feelable, sleeve still clean in areas, etc.
VG: Record/Sleeve classified in Very Good condition. Likely to be a few hairlines/marks on the record but most are not feelable. Some scratches may be present. The sleeve may have apparent areas of staining/damage but are not severe.
VG+: Record/Sleeve classified in Very Good+ condition. Likely to be a clean surface on the record overall, although some paper withdrawal marks, light hairlines or scuffs may be present. Nothing feelable on the record unless in the rare circumstance where the vinyl is very clean despite an isolated scratch or similarly feelable mark. Sleeve has no serious damage. All staining, tears, rubs, wear to spine, etc. are minimal enough for the sleeve to still present as pleasant overall.
VG++: A slightly stronger version of VG+, VG++ will be used to denote that any wear or marks are minimal enough to be too clean for a VG+, but not quite clean enough for an excellent. E.g. There may be a couple marks, or a few light hairlines to show evidence of some play on the record but not a lot of play/mishandling.
EX: Only slightly above a VG++, EX will be used in instances where all evidence of mishandling and record wear are minimal and the sleeve/record present as very clean.
EX+: Close to near mint, EX+ is used where there are hardly ANY signs of play/wear but as a few very light signs may be evident it is not quite NM.
NM/M-: Near Mint and Mint- will be used where there is close to no discernable evidence of wear. It will be difficult to spot any hairlines, and there will be no scratches. The presence of 1-2 light marks/hairlines is permissable as long as they do not affect play whatsoever. Sleeves will look immaculate as if new, with an allowance of 1-2 minor imperfections that are easily overlooked and not visibly disturbing.
M: Mint to be used where there is no sign of wear whatsoever. Visual/Audio are immaculate as if new.
