This is the June 16, 1995 draft of the unproduced Catwoman feature film, written by Daniel Waters (Batman Returns, Heathers). Developed as a direct spin-off for Michelle Pfeiffer to reprise her role as Selina Kyle, this is the version of the script most discussed by film historians and Batman fans. It contains the fully realized "Oasisburg" storyline, featuring a surreal desert city described in these pages as a "crazed amalgamation of LA-Vegas-Palm Springs-Disneyland."
This draft follows an earlier May 1995 development version of the project (which I also have listed in my shop). While that earlier version shows the script in its "working" phase, this June 16th revision is the definitive "final word" on the project, submitted the very same day Batman Forever opened in theaters. Because this film never reached production, these internal studio-distributed copies are exceptionally hard to find. It stands as the primary archival look at the intended sequel to the 1992 film.
