The BAK Industries 226407 BAKFlip G2 is a hard-folding tonneau cover purpose-built for the 2005–2015 Toyota Tacoma with a 6 ft. 2 in. bed and the factory OE Deck Rail (cargo track) system. As the defining feature of this SKU, the 226407 is designed to mount near the top of the Tacoma's bed rail in a way that works in harmony with the factory cargo channel system — preserving full access to the deck rails and their tie-down points while delivering a flush, low-profile appearance that maintains the Tacoma's clean lines. Solid-core panels wrapped in aircraft-grade aluminum skins sit level with the bed rails, capable of holding up to 300 lbs. of evenly distributed cargo on top while protecting everything inside from weather, road debris, and theft through a patented automatic slam-latch system that locks each panel as the cover closes.

The 226407 provides 100% unobstructed truck bed access when needed. Pulling the quick-release cables under the panels folds the cover forward against the cab in seconds, where integrated struts hold it firmly in place for stable hauling of long or oversized cargo at highway speeds. Operation is possible from either side of the bed, making loading and unloading significantly more convenient for Tacoma owners who use their beds actively.
