Item Description Description: Up for sale is a rare and authentic Chinese provincial blue and white porcelain water dropper/inkwell, dating from the Late Ming to Early Qing period (17th–18th Century). This functional scholar’s object features a unique three-hole design on the shoulder, traditionally used to control water flow for grinding ink. Design & Condition: Motifs: Hand-painted underglaze cobalt blue featuring a central medallion with stylized floral/landscape scenes and a fish-scale background. Technical Details: Heavy, thick-potted porcelain weighing 20 oz. The base is unglazed and gritty with visible iron spots and kiln grit, characteristic of authentic antique provincial wares.
