Unusual Western Electric-like chrome 3-slot pre-1973 payphone

This is a chrome Northern Electric with beige accessories (ITT handset and dial number plate).  The number plate is of the old "daisy," or thumbprint style, suggesting mid- or early 1950s.  The number plate is of 1935 or so descent, being porcelain thumbprint, but beige color and Northern Electric are 1954 origins; so what goes here?  Regardless, it is not frequent, numerous, or real common.

It has an armored cord.  It is not hooked up to work.  Functionality is unknown, but anything that had worked previously, then disconnected, stands certain to be resurrected.

The direction card is original (with a Bell added) and says "Lift receiver," a receiver being the pre-war thing you held to your ear on very old telephones.  Also it says "Deposit dime or two nickels," implying an older era of antiquity.  The chrome is nice but with a few small areas of "ripple-water" effects.  It has a 2018 door (flat polished aluminum held in by a spring) and is labeled "NE 233 QE," implying that this is of the same time period as the Western Electric 233 series.

Any payphone we sell comes with the following additional options:

Option 1
Would you like an old Gray, Western Electric, Northern Electric, Automatic Electric chrome, beige, or black door in your payphone? Held in by a spring, modified lock and key, or original lock and key?

Option 2
The directions on how to operate the phone when it was in the booth may be still on the phone; we don't take them off.  These were put on top (a top sign) and the middle.  A blue bell representing Bell Telephone was on very few of these, but a number of almost decoratively designed direction cards came to exist and can be included with or on the payphone you buy here via eBay.  I'll offer these in various ways on eBay.

Option 3
The direction card frame and/or top sign can be chrome, black, or some other color.

Option 4
Finger wheels on rotary dials is another option.  A plastic finger wheel ended up on many three-slot payphones before they quit making them in 1972.  Prior to that were chrome or black over brass.  I can even offer polished brass and numerous round middle-of-the-dial number cards- also at option.

Some of these options can be free and others, like doors are for additional cost via eBay.  We're open for negotiation via eBay.

We apologize for the reflections in the chrome surface of background objects.
