The piece itself was produced in 1963.

This work has been recognized as a pop icon in the 1990s, as it was used on CD jackets, but hidden within it is Mari's strict stance in pursuing the universal original form of apples, rather than just "apples," by increasingly purifying the shapes and forms of natural things.

There are also scratches on the box etc.
