Thick, heavy, and rich in history—these “dump” coins were produced across various Indian regions during the 18th and 19th centuries, prior to the standardization of currency under British rule. Many were created by punching smaller coins from larger blanks, resulting in dense, compact pieces with distinctive local character.
These lots include an assortment of dump coins varying in shape, thickness, and type. Their handmade nature means that no two lots are exactly alike. While some types are rare and collectible, we do not search these lots for rarities—they are sold as-is for dealers looking to stock diverse, affordable early Indian coins.
