The ES-1 Slide Copying Adapter features 52mm threading and allows you to copy 35mm film slides when attached to the front of compatible lenses. It is designed for Nikon lenses (see picture of instruction sheet which comes with the adapter). It can be attached directly to the Micro-NIKKOR 55mm f/2.8 lens, to the AF Micro-NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8D lens via a BR-5 adapter ring, and to compatible extension tubes.

I have also tested it with 40mm TTArtisan macro lenses on Fujifilm and Sony APS-C cameras with successful results. There are many lens+camera combinations that will work with this adapter but do your own research to see if it might work with your setup.

The adapter is not lighted and is intended for situations where light (ambient or artificial) is sufficient. While not as efficient as all-in-one slide converters, the resolution and sharpness can be fair superior. With artificial light and some patience, it's easy to set up a rig to copy many slides in a short period of time. 

This adapter was purchased new several years ago and has only been used a few times. It is no longer sold by Nikon directly.
