A Set of Two Antique Burmese (Myanmar) Betel Nut Boxes — Hand Cast Bronze.
These hand cast boxes were used for storing betel nuts (areca nuts), slaked lime & betel leaves, along with spices & herbs for flavoring. These boxes can now be used to store small items like jewelry or other keepsakes.
These boxes are sold as a set.
Purchased at the Tribal Arts Fair in San Francisco many years ago.
Condition. Look at the pictures and the details. These are older works.
* One box has a diameter of 2 1/8” & is 2 1/4” in height.
* The second box is 2 1/4” in diameter & 2 3/8” in height.
