A charming vintage, glazed, ceramic chamber pot by Fenton from the Ye Olde Foley Ware range. Likely dating from the 1920s–1930s, this classic blue and white piece features transferware pastoral scenes and floral borders. This is typical of early 20th century Staffordshire pottery.
The chamber pot, or “potty”, is approx. 220mm in diameter.
Overall the pot is in good condition for its age. The glaze is glossy and the transfer decoration remains clear. Minor age‑related marks or wear are present, consistent with a piece of this era. Please refer to the photos for full details.
The pot showcases the craftsmanship of the Fenton potteries, with crisp transfer detailing including cottages, trees, cattle, and ornate floral motifs. The handle and rim are richly patterned, and the underside carries the J. Kent “Ye Olde Foley Ware” backstamp.
Although originally a functional household item, it now serves best as a decorative piece, as vintage potties of this age are often no longer watertight. It remains structurally sound and highly attractive on display. This piece would make a striking addition to a vintage or country‑style interior, and pairs well with other blue and white pottery.
Perfect for collectors of blue and white ware, Foley Ware, or traditional English ceramics.
