The first Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail (FLST) was introduced in 1986 and followed up two years later with the Heritage Softail Classic (FLSTC). The motorcycle had many features, such as its large telescopic forks and retro-styling, an air-cooled 1337cc,  V Twin, OHV, 2 cylinder, 4-stroke engine and the capacity to seat two. The Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail was a belt driven cruiser with a top speed of 165 km/h (103mph), had 57.51 horsepower, a manual 5 speed gear box, electric starter and cartridge suspension. The model is widely credited as giving birth to the nostalgia movement in motorcycles.
