Up for sale is an original, 1965 edition of the Royal Armoured Corps Training Manual (Volume III—Armament, Pamphlet No. 18) for the Saladin Armoured Car. This is an authentic Ministry of Defence publication (Army Code No. 70167).
Included in this set: Main Manual: Covers the 76mm Gun and the .30-in Browning Machine Gun (L3A3/L3A4). Commander's Functional Test Card: A rare, separate brown card insert (Army Code No. 70415) detailing the inspection procedures for vehicle commanders.
Condition Report: Contents: Complete and internally very clean. All large technical fold-out diagrams (including the 76mm firing gear and gunner’s controls) are present and in pristine, crisp condition. Binding: Original staples are intact and holding the volume securely. One staple shows slight deformation but remains strong. Paper: A few pages feature light vertical creasing from storage, but there are absolutely no tears, rips, or missing pages. Cover: Good vintage condition with some light rusting around staples and minor corner wear consistent with age.
A must-have for military historians, vehicle restorers, or RAC collectors.
