This unit works in via the original AUX input of the car so the car must have AUX mode. This will not affect the original settings of the car so will be compatible with cars with original Navi, radio modes, steering wheel controls, speaker system and iDrive control. To function our unit, you just switch over to AUX.

SETUP NOTES:
Setup up factory NBT system: Go to Settings--Specific--Original DPI--Choose your factory size screen and system.
Connect the AUX: Connect the 3.5mm AUX cable directly into your AUX port (not required for all models) or connect into the rear AUX wiring (not all models).
Turn on the AUX: On the Android system go to App--Media/Radio--Use your iDrive knob to enter into Multimedia--External device--AUX front--Press the 8 digit on the factory radio for about 5-8 seconds until you hear sound.
SETUP NOTES:
From the loom provided with the kit, you need to run the 3.5mm AUX cable to your BMW's AUX port and plug it in.
Press the "My BMW" icon, which will take you to the original BMW menu. Press the CD/Multimedia --External--Front AUX and activate. Then press the 8 button on the factory radio for about 10 seconds.
