Antique Pickard Vase – Signed Emil Fischer – Art Nouveau "Violet Supreme" (c.1905–1918)
Presented here is an exceptional, museum-quality example of American Art Nouveau from the celebrated Pickard China Studio's "Golden Age." This 8.5-inch tall by 3.5-inch wide vase features the highly sought-after "Violet Supreme" pattern, masterfully hand-painted by one of Pickard’s most renowned artists, Emil Fischer. His signature is clearly visible on the body of the piece.
This rare survivor is in excellent antique condition with NO chips, cracks, or professional repairs. The heavy, hand-applied matte gold leaf remains in beautiful shape; while there is one tiny, minor rub spot as expected for a piece of this age, it is a non-issue as the intricate floral design is mirrored on both the front and back, allowing for a flawless display.
Bearing the authentic Pickard Gold Leaf hallmark used exclusively until 1918, this piece represents the peak of hand-painted porcelain artistry. Signed Fischer vases of this size and condition are increasingly difficult for collectors to find. This is a "collector’s grade" investment piece that will be the centerpiece of any fine porcelain collection.
