Lot of eleven (11) used seam rippers. At least 9 are vintage; there are 2 Hoechstmass from Germany that are modern (although the Combicut is marked "West Germany" so could be vintage). I tested them all against Coats Dual Duty Plus thread. A few are still usable as is, but most are dull and in need of sharpening. These have signs of age and use, such as discolored, crazed and chipped plastic. Sold as is, for collecting or refurbishment. See close-up photos and inventory notes below:

- 6 hide-away tube style - 3 are white and marked "Swiss Made" on the tube; the blades are stamped "Patent" with an arrow symbol. The white plastic is discolored orange by age. The red tube has a sticker from a Swedish business. There is a jadeite green one that is nice to look at (dull, I'm afraid) and a blue one stamped Japan. The red, and one of the white Swiss still cut nicely.

- 2 Hoechstmass - 1 Combicut ripper with tweezers, and 1 fold-away ripper. Both cut well. No plastic damage on these two.

- 1 Singer West Germany curved clear plastic. This was well-used, the plastic is cracked and chipped all around where the cap meets the handle. The blade has no safety ball, possibly by design. Still cuts decently, not amazingly, but I would still use it, it's really nice to hold!

- 1 extra large blue plastic - Japan; the clear plastic cap is yellowed and has crazing inside from the pressure of putting on and taking off. Blade is dull.

- 1 brass pendant - 4 inches long with ring; blade is stamped "Patent" with arrow symbol. I'm not positive it is solid brass, but it is non-magnetic. Brass has age patina. Blade is dull.
