This original 1970s Space Age “Eyeball” table lamp is a classic example of mid-century futuristic lighting design. With its sculptural spherical shade and slim chrome stem, the lamp perfectly reflects the optimistic and experimental aesthetic of the Space Age era.

The lamp features a brown metal eyeball shade mounted on a horizontal arm attached to a polished chrome rod and round weighted base. The spherical shade creates a focused and atmospheric light, making the lamp ideal as a desk lamp, bedside lamp, or accent lighting.

A highlight of this design is its fully adjustable construction. The lamp can be positioned in multiple ways.

These functional adjustments, combined with the bold geometric shape, make the lamp both practical and sculptural—a small piece of design history that works beautifully in modern, minimalist, or retro interiors.

Eyeball lamps like this became very popular in the 1960s–1970s during the Space Age design movement, when designers experimented with futuristic shapes, chrome finishes, and playful spherical forms.

The lamp remains fully functional and in good vintage condition with only light signs of age, such as small scratches and minor wear consistent with use.
