I bought the driver new last June 2025 for £579 from my club Pro. All my gear is kept mint as you can see from images of the head -cover. I only played around 6 times last season due to injury.
These are still £499 on sale.
In December the club was accidentally dropped from the vertical position onto a cart path as the head-cover was being replaced landing on its toe area under its own weight.I believed the crack was just a cosmetic scratch but when examined by a Pro it was found to be a crack albeit very slight.
You may know ,I didn’t , that modern drivers are constructed from materials that are only a few millimetres thick on certain areas of the head which mean they are not as sturdy/ robust as previous metal woods etc. So even relatively minor impacts can damage the head.
I have been advised by one Pro that if a proper adhesive is applied in the area of the damage it could very well last a season or two if not more depending on your swing speed. No repairs have been attempted and I decided to change to different model.
Hence very cheap maybe worth a punt for someone as head-cover alone is worth about £30.
