Offered here is a very fine VINTAGE "SIMPLEX" BRAND, DROPPED FORGED,  RATCHETING CHAIN OR CABLE SPREADER.  This heavy-duty vintage tool is in excellent condition with the exception of a small chip in the metal on the forward-reverse selector knob (see photo).  The tool is very clean, no rust or pitting, adjusts-ratchets easily, and all the fingers or cable catches are in fine order.  The threads spin and adjust easily.  The stretcher consists of three parts, two outer screw-on ends and the central threaded screw with ratcheting mechanism.  Overall, less than 12 inches long when fully screwed down and probably up to 18 inches fully extended.   Very heavy and very well made.   See photos for additional details.  Any questions, please ask.
