How to Use

 

  • Fill the sample cup with mud and level the mouth of the cup without leaving air bubbles.
  • Gently cover the cup with the lid and wipe off any excess mud.
  • Slowly move the weight. When the bubble of the horizontal vesicle is in the center, the lever indicates that it is level.
  • Read out the scale shown on the left side of the weight, that is the specific gravity of the mud.
  • The instrument should be rinsed and wiped clean after use.
