1950s Banthrico Bank: Durham Life Insurance Company Metal Coin Bank with Key

For sale is a 1950s Banthrico Metal Coin Bank of the Durham Life Insurance Company.  The bank is made of white metal with a bronze/copper finish coloration.  It has bank trap Type 5a, made between 1954-1964; includes key (see photos).

The bank stands 4.50" tall on a base that measures 3" x 4.50" and weighs 1 lb. 1 oz.  This bank has been in my personal collection since the early 1980s.  Overall the bank is in excellent vintage condition (see photos).  There are few minor tarnish/discoloration marks (see photos).

Durham Life Insurance Company was a North Carolina-based insurer founded in 1906, known for industrial life and group policies with the slogan "We Protect The Family" which is embossed on the front and back base of the replica bank with DURHAM LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY embossed on each side (see photos).
