Four (4) pages from a scrapbook featuring signed notes from Earl "Scoop Wilson". One is on Earl Wilson stationary and one is on a newspaper article. Both are addressed to Gilson. Earl Wilson was a Hollywood columnist in the mid to late 1950s. Included with the signed items are several photos of Wilson. One of these photos was used in a Galipolis, Ohio newspaper. The photo of the banquet setting was taken in Galipolis as well. Wilson wrote a column that covered Hollywood news. It was called "It happened last night". The article was syndicated nationally during the mid to late 1950s. Most of the newspaper clippings in this listing are concerning an event in Galipolis. While there are many articles, most are related to this one event. Also discussed in some of the articles is the censorship relating to women's necklines. The articles are from many different newspapers. There is an unrelated article on the reverse of the banquet photo page. Of note is a newspaper photo of Clark gable. He can be seen on the right side of one of the pages, along side of a newspaper article. Finally, there is an article about how Earl got the nickname "Scoop". It is dated 1953, and, is an early account of Wilson's up and coming career. Please take a look at my photos and ask me questions through eBay messages.
