As a professional musician, I chose this sax after playing my way through a few dozen different MARK VII style horns--branded and unbranded. It simply had the best tone, action and intonation of all the one's I tried . I was only interested in Horns with Mark VII ergonomics' identical to my main horn, and this one was tops. The original lacquer is beautiful, with only some normal wear on a few keys. The horn has never been dropped, dented ,damaged or mishandled in any way BECAUSE I AM A CAREFUL LIFE LONG PROFESSIONAL. I had the horn fully serviced April 2025--including most pads, corks, bumpers etc.  Pads ( with metal resonators) have 95% life remaining. This sax has had very little use since the 4/2025 service.  It plays great from top to bottom, with great and fast action (SEE VIDEO)  After working on the horn, and noting the low serial # 533, ribbed construction ( post to rib---rib to body) and other build  features, my woodwind tech said this was probably and early unbranded stencil from Cecilio - Mandini or Opus. I have no way to confirm this---but all I know is that this sax  is built well and plays great.   The carry case is almost brand new, with all components and zippers working as designed. Case has a zippered compartment for sheet music or band music.
This sax is ready to play and comes with many accessories including: six reeds, a sterilized almost new mouthpiece, ligature and new cap, a pad-saver cleaner swab, cork grease, a  new Cecilio polishing cloth, new white gloves, a case carry strap, and a brand new MEL BAY book of easy sax solos and the corresponding piano accompanists book. I think this is one of the best ready to play buys on the e-bay market in this price range.  As a life long woodwind artist and a 5 star rated E-bay seller---I think my descriptions are honest and true. You will not be disappointed.
