Full spectrum conversion:
The camera’s internal filter is replaced with a high quality custom quartz clear glass that passes the visible spectrum and a part of UV and IR.
The replacement of the factory filter with this quartz glass is important, it allows for maintaining the focal distance between the CDD sensor and the lens.
No focusing issues.
So you can shoot full spectrum colors pictures without any filter, result is like Kodak Aerochrome infrared film, or add an IR filter, 520nn, 720nn ... in front or your lens and select the part of the spectrum you want to block.
You can easily find an adjustable IR filter on Amazon and with only one filter choose the part of the spectrum you want.
You can also use an inexpensive gel LEE filters for more creativity. (placed behind the lens)
This camera is the best choice for infrared picture because of the CDD sensor. CDD sensors are more reactive to IR than Cmos sensors.
