Kodiak Flute: Beautiful Custom Exotic Purple Heart Wood Native American Style Flute F# Exotic Wood Line. It has a bore size of 7/8 Inch and a length of approximately 24" . The totem is our custom "BEAR CLAW" design and has a purple heart base and Exotic Bloodwood Top. This flute is embellished with two Jewelry Quality Custom Acrylic Inserts to accent the purple coloring of the wood. We also apply approximately 6 layers of water based finish including one that has a UV protective coating to assist in keeping the flutes optimal colors. Purple Heart should not be left out in direct sunlight as it is UV sensitive.
Purple Heart has a nice purple tone and the hardwood produces a rich tone. The is our special Meditative Tuning. All notes are tuned about 18 cents to base to give it a richer bass sound.
Purple Heart is very difficult to work with to handcraft a flute.
This flute has our logo and key engraved on the bottom of the flute under the Totem Strap.
