Installation Steps

 

Step 1: Replace Rotor and Brake Pad Clips

Remove the old rotor and install the new one.

Replace the old brake pad clips on the caliper bracket with new ones.

 

Step 2: Install Caliper Bracket

Reattach the caliper bracket to the vehicle in its original position.

Tighten the bolts until the bracket is secure (no torque spec required).

 

Step 3: Install New Brake Pads

With the new clips in place, insert the new brake pads into the same slots as the old ones.

 

Step 4: Install Caliper

 Disconnect the caliper from the spring and set aside the retaining wire.

Use a C-clamp to fully compress the caliper piston.

Reinstall the caliper onto the bracket using a socket set and caliper bolts, securing it firmly.

 

Step 5: Replace Wheel and Torque Lug Nuts

Reinstall the wheel and hand-tighten the lug nuts.

Use a torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts to the specified torque.

 

Tips

Clean Parts: Clean components before installation.

Lubricate: Apply a small amount of brake lubricant to the caliper and clip contact points.

Test Drive: Check brake performance with a short test drive.

Safety: Use jack stands to support the vehicle while working.
