Item: (1) Vintage, original women's full length nightgown with empire waist.


Description: This romantic champagne satin nightgown has a graceful drape reminiscent of classic Old Hollywood boudoir lingerie. 


It has delicate spaghetti straps and a flattering empire waistline, creating a graceful flowing silhouette that widens gently from the bust to the hem. The fabric is a heavy satin that drapes beautifully and gives the gown a luxurious feel.


The skirt falls to a full sweeping length and is finished with a soft ruffled 5" hem for a romantic vintage look. Inside construction shows careful seam work and period details including side snap closures and supportive tulle beneath the hem ruffle, typical of quality American-made lingerie from the late 1960s to early 1970s.


This gown likely would have originally been part of a bridal or trousseau-style peignoir set. It could also be worn today as a vintage slip dress or displayed as part of a vintage lingerie collection.
