Hello dear customers,
Up for your consideration is a rare antique late 19th century medical bloodletting scarificator. This scarce surgical instrument is equipped with six blades designed for rapid bloodletting procedures.
The instrument features a round ribbed body, a clockwork loading key, and a push-button release mechanism. When activated, the internal mechanism produces an extremely fast cutting motion of the blades, characteristic of medical scarificators used in historical bloodletting treatments.
The mechanism is fully functional and operates properly.
Condition:
Very good antique condition with only minor traces of age and use. The loading key is marked “Altermatt.” The piece was found at an estate sale in Paris.
Please review all photos carefully, as they form an important part of the item description.
