Delivered complete with acrylic case, SCART cable, and AC/DC adapter — just plug in and play!
Ideal for Neo Geo MVS and IGS PolyGame Master, but the included power adapter (12V / 3A) is also capable of handling larger boards such as Capcom CPS1 and Sega STV, among others. The power supply has been carefully selected by me — I deliberately avoided the cheapest options, resulting in a high-quality AC/DC adapter that delivers stable current up to 3A without issue. It has a bit of weight to it and feels solid in hand.
This supergun comes with several great features:
* A brightness switch that boosts the image if you find it too dark. Can happen on some old, crusty CRT monitors.
* Three RGB potentiometers for precise adjustment of red, green, and blue levels to your liking.
* Service and Test/Coin buttons, as well as two DB15 joystick ports (Neo Geo standard).
* A proper on/off switch — something many superguns lack, and once you get used to it, it’s hard to live without.
* A stereo/mono audio switch. Note that the JAMMA standard is mono, although various unofficial wiring methods exist for stereo over JAMMA. How this unit expects stereo to be wired is unclear, but it likely follows the MVS standard. I recommend keeping it set to mono unless you know exactly how to wire stereo correctly.
* A 3.5mm audio jack for headphones or external speakers (e.g. PC speakers). I’ve tested both with excellent results.
* A built-in voltmeter with a large LED display on top. Ideally, you want around 5.05V (in my experience), although this can vary between boards. IGS PGM systems are particularly sensitive — if one behaves erratically, it’s often due to power requirements, in which case you may need a PSU with adjustable output. That said, I’ve used this PSU with multiple 1-slot MVS boards without any issues — voltage stays stable just above 5V, which keeps components happy.
* Capcom kick harness support, giving each player 3 additional buttons for games like Street Fighter II.
The video output is excellent (RGBS), using an MD2-style connector. A high-quality handmade SCART cable is included, suitable for direct connection to a European SCART (RGB) TV or to an upscaler if you’re using a modern display. I’ve tested it with both OSSC and Framemeister — works flawlessly, truly plug-and-play.
The unit also features a Texas Instruments LM1881 chip, which helps stabilize sync. For those interested in the technical details, Google is your friend (eBay does not allow links).
A perfectly fitted acrylic case is included, protecting the sensitive components from ESD and accidental damage.
And yes — it looks great too. Honestly, it’s hard to find a better supergun. I don’t have many in stock, so if you want one, don’t wait too long.
