Set of 4 lightweight, wooden turned lacemaking bobbins with removable covers/sleeves(?).

Can be used for braiding hair on a table in the Western Victorian table-worked hairwork style or braiding silk in the Japanese kumi himo style.

All are smooth with no cracks, chips, dents, or scratches. Each one is approximately 4 5/8" long.

A friend bought these for me from a yarn shop in Berlin, Germany which is no longer is business. The shop was Kloeppelstube im Nikolaiviertel, Rathausstrasse 21, Berlin. The bobbins come in the original paper bag with the shop sticker. The bag is crinkled with a hole in it, and a name written in ink under the shop sticker.
