1973 Series 1 Daimler Sovereign

Sold by  Strat stone  Daimler Mayfair ,London for an  MP in the North of England

 One of the last Classic shape Daimler  Sovereigns, this is the rare Long Wheelbase version.

Automatic with the  High Compression  4.2 ltr engine

A very low  recorded mileage of only 41,207 miles.

The low mileage is reflected by the condition of the immaculate , un-marked red  leather interior and the very original condition of the car.

A full length Webasto sliding sun roof  is fitted, although this will need some small repairs.

The engine runs smoothly  as it should and drives up and down the drive.

However the brakes would need a full service before going on the  road and so the car would need to be trailered away.

The body is in good condition and  has  been repainted at some point in past  with a good gloss finish as seen in the photos. There is a little hair line crazing in the paint in areas  but only visible when  close up.

The foot  wells are solid and the wheel arches  are very good, so good, the front and rear wings could have been replaced.

The only area that needs any attention is  the boot  floor   which needs some simple patching.

Two very   good , acid cleaned fuel tanks and  a rear valance came with the car when I bought the car but never got around to fitting them.

 

 I have  car owned for 11 years  now and it has always been and kept in dry storage for  that time.

Unfortunately work got in the way of me fully completing the car

 and now  a significant change in circumstances  means that  I must  sadly now  sell my Daimler   .

Priced to sell with a little work remaining, the classic Series 1 is becoming to find, especially in this condition and low mileage.
