This rare Gotz Artist Doll, A World of Children series by acclaimed sculptor Philip Heath, features Ami an African girl beautifully crafted in 1992 to celebrate diversity. Amis 24" tall, has black braided hair, brown eyes, hand painted features, wears a navy-blue crop top, and shorts with a black tribal design. Her accessories include a coin necklace and a beaded bracelet on her ankle

Pre-owned, in good condition with original crop top and shorts outfit, coin necklace and ankle bracelet.
This doll originally came with a linen overshirt, skirt, a beaded bracelet, shell necklace and a water jug, these are not included. There is no box or doll stand. She also had a white headband woven through her braids, I believe it is what is tying her hair back currently, but I am not 100% sure. Ami was well loved and played with by her human. I got her at an estate sale as she reminded me of the children I met while in Ghana. This doll is a heartfelt tribute to diversity and the shared experiences of children worldwide.
