Revitalize the braking performance of your Fox Body Mustang with this Front Performance G-Coated Brake Pad and Rotor Kit. Specifically engineered for the high-torque demands of the 5.0L V8 engine, this kit replaces outdated factory components with modern, high-friction materials. Featuring Slotted and Cross-Drilled rotors, this system is designed to provide aggressive initial "bite" while rapidly dissipating the heat and gases that cause brake fade during spirited driving.
The rotors feature a Premium G-Coated finish on the hub and internal vanes, providing an advanced barrier against salt and moisture. This prevents the unsightly orange rust common on standard iron rotors, keeping your 4-lug wheels looking clean and professional. Paired with Premium Posi-Bonded Ceramic Pads, this kit delivers a silent, low-dust experience that won't ruin your polished or painted wheels.
This kit is engineered specifically for the Front Axle of the following Ford Fox Body models:
Ford Mustang V8 5.0L (All Trims): 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992.
Ford Mustang V8 5.0L (Non-Cobra): 1993.
Critical Fitment Note: This kit is designed for the 4-Lug spindle configuration. It features a 10.91-inch (277mm) rotor diameter. Please verify your wheel lug count and rotor size, as 1993 Cobra models and aftermarket 5-lug conversions require different specifications.

Directional Rotation: Slotted and drilled rotors are often directional. Ensure the vanes or slots are oriented correctly (typically leaning toward the rear of the car at the top) to maximize centrifugal cooling.
Spindle Cleaning: Before mounting the new G-Coated rotors, use a wire brush to remove any scale or rust from the vehicle's spindle face. Any debris between the hub and rotor will cause lateral runout, leading to "pedal shake" during braking.
Hydraulic Maintenance: Since this kit includes DOT 3 & 4 fluid, it is highly recommended to perform a full system flush. Old, moisture-laden brake fluid can boil under the higher temperatures these performance rotors can generate, leading to a "spongy" brake pedal.
Burnishing (Bedding) Procedure: To ensure maximum pad life and noise reduction, perform 5 moderate stops from 40 mph to 10 mph in quick succession, followed by a cool-down drive. This transfers a uniform layer of ceramic friction material onto the G-Coated rotor surface.
