Original World War I panoramic Company photograph
Photograph by Vern O Williams photo company numbered as photo number 68
This is an original World War I sepia panoramic unit photograph taken at camp Dodge just five days after the armistice November 11, 1918
Condition
- original sepia gelatin print… not a modern reproduction
- light age toning consistent with 1918 photograph
- minor spotting and age marks visible under close inspection
- frame shows wear, edge, nicks, and finish loss, consistent with age
- the back of the frame has what appears to be significantly old cardboard as backing and modern black tape seemingly placed over more dated adhesive. This is how I found it when purchased at an estate sale in 2015 vicinity
of Huntsville, Alabama
- glass is in intact
- image remains clear and is a highly attractive display piece
