Particle physics in a prism! These Lichtenberg figures were created via bombarding acrylic with an immense quantity of electrons in a particle accelerator. These electrons accumulate in the material until a critical amount is reached, leading to a sudden discharge of the electrons out of the acrylic, leaving behind channels of their discharge paths.
In addition to your 12" x 4" x 1" Lichtenberg figure, you will also receive a 3D printed display stand with an LED strip that both protects the item and brings out the beauty of the discharge channels.
These figures are available with both polished and unpolished faces, the unpolished faces are completely opaque but come at a lower cost.
