WW II vintage Oxygen Breathing Apparatus set up. it was used by the U.S. Navy as a Breathing Rescue setup, and was Type A-1, which is supposed to be a self contained closed circuit device, which allowed the wearer to be independent of the surrounding atmosphere for the effective limit of the oxygen supply which was about 45 minutes. I could not verify that but looking at this, it sounds right. It is obviously used, and comes with bags and backstraps, which all look period correct. Everything looks to be in good condition, and its the only one I have ever seen. If you collect vintage military it is very cool.
