I have seen similar compacts like this, but this is a really nice one with two different colors of wood veneer. The center circle is dark while the outside design is a couple different shades of lighter and stripes going vertical with the grain of the wood. Then we have the two Scotties on the lid which are one piece from what I can see. They are carefully and safely affixed to the top and look like they are made from some resin wood. They are very flat, but you can see they are dimensional. The back is all the vertical wood grain shades. The mirror is in good condition and only thing is the sticky place inside that probably secured a price tag. The compact measures about 2 7/8 inches square. A nice compact to round out a collection of all just metal compacts.
