Description

"The Southern Crescent: A History of Good Service" is a 1970 booklet issued by the public relations department of the former railroad to promote its crack passenger train which operated between Washington-Atlanta-New Orleans.
The 20-page publication, which is printed on a quality fiber stock, highlights the birth of the Crescent as the Washington and South-Western Vestibuled Limited operated by predecessor line Richmond & Danville Railroad in the late 1800s and follows the evolution of the train through the steam era to modern dieselization.
It is well illustrated with 2 dozen pictures of steam and diesel engines, rolling stock, car interiors, maps, advertisements and presents fantastic reading for the passenger train buff. The brochure is UNUSED and in MINT CONDITION-- it has no rips or tears, no spills or smears, and no writing or markings.
A must item for the true Southern Crescent fan.
