Description

 

This amazing costume has been meticulously crafted following the original measurements of one of the Superman costumes from Superman “The Movie.” We had access to a beautiful screen-worn suit, allowing us to create this super accurate reproduction. The technical manufacturing was handled by a professional designer with experience in international films for both the US and Europe, and is part of the Action Costumes team. With all these details combined, we are confident that this costume is the most original reproduction ever seen.

·         Tunic: Made from the most accurate 4-way Lycra spandex in teal blue (glossy), featuring the "S" emblem sewn on the chest and a back zipper. The tunic has red bright silk lycra spandex trunks attached (with four Lycra belt loops). We’ve improved the cuff design to match the original size, and the shoulder seams feature an internal adjustment to keep them in place. Additionally, the back seams have been corrected to their proper positions.

·         Leggings: Crafted from the same teal blue Lycra spandex as the tunic, the leggings include the correct seam along the inner part of each leg, just like the original.

·         Chest Emblem: The emblem has been re-designed to match the original measurements and shape. It is handmade, not computer-generated, with each part cut and sewn by hand to achieve the perfect shape. The colors have been improved, ensuring the red bright silk lycra matches the spandex trunks, and the golden yellow matches the cape emblem. This is undoubtedly the most accurate reproduction of the emblem to date.

·         Cape: The vibrant red gabardine cape features two bandolier straps that go under the arms and tie at the back, with the perfect width. It includes a yellow Lycra emblem with the original measurements and shape, matching the chest emblem in color. The back emblem is created using an embroidery system, hand-sewn with black thread onto the yellow Lycra. The cape retains the original measurements used in Superman “The Movie” and has an incredible flow. Please note that while we used to finish the cape with hand-sewn thread, we have changed this based on fan feedback; only the Golden Edition will feature that finish. The current capes will have a machine-sewn finish.

·         Belt: This incredible replica includes the most accurate belt available. The buckle is made from an original movie-worn belt, and the belt itself is crafted from the correct glossy vinyl (shining gold) with the perfect thickness, just like the original. We are proud to offer what we believe will be the definitive belt for your Superman costume.

Please note that this costume does not include the boots shown in the pictures, but we can create Superman Deluxe Boots in 70's Style by request, tailored to specific sizes for an excellent fit. These boots will be more accurate than those shown and are for illustrative purposes only. Look for the Superman Deluxe Boots 70's Style in the accessories section of this costume.
